Steps to Replace CCD Motor Old Model For HP LaserJet M1005 Printer :

  1. Power Off the Printer

    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the electrical outlet for safety.
  2. Open the Printer Cover

    • Lift the front cover to access the toner cartridge and internal components.
  3. Remove the Toner Cartridge

    • Carefully pull out the toner cartridge and set it aside on a clean surface.
  4. Access the Scanner Assembly

    • Depending on your model, you may need to remove the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) if present. Use a screwdriver to remove any screws and detach the ADF.
  5. Remove the Scanner Unit

    • Look for screws or clips securing the scanner unit and remove them. Carefully lift the scanner unit off the printer.
  6. Locate the CCD Motor

    • Find the CCD motor, usually situated near the scanner assembly.
  7. Disconnect the Wiring

    • Carefully unplug any connectors attached to the CCD motor. Take note of their positions for reassembly.
  8. Remove the Old Motor

    • If the motor is secured with screws, remove them using a screwdriver. Carefully take out the old motor from its housing.
  9. Install the New CCD Motor

    • Position the new CCD motor in the same location as the old one and secure it with screws.
  10. Reconnect the Wiring

    • Plug in any connectors that were disconnected earlier, ensuring they are secure.
  11. Reattach the Scanner Unit

    • Lower the scanner unit back into place and secure it with screws.
  12. Reinstall the ADF (if removed)

    • If you removed the ADF, reattach it securely.
  13. Reinstall the Toner Cartridge

    • Carefully insert the toner cartridge back into the printer.
  14. Close the Printer Cover

    • Close the front cover securely.
  15. Power On the Printer

    • Plug the printer back into the electrical outlet and turn it on. Allow it to initialize.
  16. Test the Printer

    • Print a test page or scan a document to verify that the new CCD motor is functioning properly.
